 Acworth is a pleasant community that feels like a small town but is just a short drive from the hustle and bustle of Atlanta. Surrounded by Lake Allatoona on three sides, and with more than a dozen parks, the outdoor life is great. Acworth’s Cobblestone was recently rated as Georgia’s best public golf course by Golf Digest. There are tours of historic homes from the antebellum and post Civil War periods as well. These homes, along with eclectically themed shops, line Main Street (formerly Dixie Hwy), which was the first interstate reaching the South.
